1st Annual Sturgis Mustang Rally

Most notably known for their famous motorcycle rally - Sturgis, South Dakota this year will play host to a rally of another breed - this time Mustangs. The 1st Annual Sturgis Mustang Rally is scheduled for August 31st thru September 2nd, 2007 for an exciting Labor Day weekend. Maybe soon Sturgis will be know for Mustang week, in addition to bike week.

While still in planning stages, they have posted a tentative schedule of events (subject to change). As of press time, look foward to a couple poker runs in Beatiful Black Hills with $3,000 in cash and prizes. The ‘Stangs at Sturgis will be making some passes down the Sturgis Drag Strip, they’ll be a car show, a picnic, and even a street dance on Main Street.

8 a.m. - 10 p.m. - Later Comer registration
8 a.m. - 10 a.m. - Show & Shine lineup
10 a.m. - 4 p.m. - Show & Shine on Main Street
10 a.m. - 5 p.m. - Swap Meet at the Serenity Lot
4 p.m. - 8 p.m. - Drag Races at Sturgis Dragway
8 p.m. - midnight - Awards & dance on Main Street

Sunday, September 2
8 a.m. - 2 p.m. - Northern Hills Poker Run
Noon - 4 p.m. - “Ponies in the Park” picnic
4 p.m. - 6 p.m. - Drag Racing Finals
