Street Legal “Super Snake” – GT500 On Steroids

Carrol Shelby has announced yet another new special edition Mustang, dubbed the “Super Snake”. Likely inspired by the 427 cubic inch GT500 Super Snake built back in 1967 (and recently re-animated by Chip Foose), this version promises to lay down the law with up to 725 horsepower – and yes you heard that right.

Shelby Strikes Again, Drop Top GT-H Rental

Ford Shelby GT-H Convertible Mustang ClipFord, Carrol Shelby, and Hertz have teamed up yet again – this time reworking the successful Rent-A-Racer GT-H as a convertible model. As before, these modified GT Mustang’s are available only for rental from Hertz at select airport locations in Arizona, California, Colorado, and Hawaii sometime later in the year with a production run of 500. The first one off the assembly line, as is the usual with Shelby automobiles, ran through Barrett-Jackson Auction in West Palm Beach, Fla – this time bringing in a cool $250k.  Of course proceeds of the sale benefit the Carroll Shelby Children’s Foundation.

Steeda Manufacturing Relocating To Valdosta, GA

Steeda Autosports and Manufacturing in Valdosta, GeorgiaSteeda Autosports is expanding it’s manufacturing and engineering division and relocating their new headquarters to your author’s hometown (Valdosta, Georgia). Steeda will also be partnering with Georgia Tech and Valdosta Technical Institute in an effort to fast track their engineering and manufacturing process.
