2008 Shelby GT500KR Front ClipFord will be officially unveiling their latest Mustang, one they claim will be “King of the Road“, at the New York International Auto Show next week - in the meantime we’ll spill the beans on what to expect.

In celebration of the fortieth anniversary of the 1968 Shelby Cobra GT500KR - next year’s edition is set to be the most powerful Mustang to date with 540 horsepower delivered via a 5.4-liter supercharged V-8 with a Ford Racing Power Upgrade Pack, 3.73:1 rear axle ratio, short-throw shifter, and unique suspension tuning to get the mind numbing horsepower to the ground.
