Sixty-six vehicles competed for affection from fourty journalists in Austin, TX in the 2007 Spring Challenge, landing the Ford / Shelby team with yet another honor – this time courtesy of the Texas Auto Writers Association (TAWA).
With retail prices ranging from $16-70k, Ford ”once again has proven you can have fun driving this great icon and still get good gas mileage”. With 330 horsepower on tap, the black and silver striped GT dominated the rolling hills of Austin. Ford is no stranger to this award, winning TAWA awards with everything from the F150 to the Ford GT supercar.
