this may sound like a kick to the nuts, but the factory carb'd 2.3Ts were horrible. i doubt there's a lot of people around that know anything about carbing a 2.3T

nope not many, you should try turboford.net. if you search there you will find enough information to decide. a v8 motor outputting that much horsepower would use a 350, or 500 cfm. so your motor would as well. you can run either a 2 barrel or a 4 barrel. your choice. alot of ppl run a 4 barrel so you don't have to run a 2 brrl rich at idle, in order to not run lean at WOT.
but that doesn't mean you have to, if tuned properly it wont matter. you will be able to achieve that horsepower. a kid i know of runs a 350 holley 4 brrl, and runs 332 whp with a simple setup. you do know that you can't just run a carb in a blow thru, and expect it to hold the PSI. solid floats must be used, as well as any holes sealed up to hold pressure. choke removed. etc, google it. there are DIY instructions for holley carbs to convert.

i had a factory carbed 2.3 turbo, it ran fine for yeeeeears! the main problem was they didn't have an intercooler cuz they were draw thru! but you can add one easily with blowthru good luck.
it will run better blowthru than the drawthru did, but really for how old they were..with a turbo..they ran great..better than the 5.0s at the time.

Draw through setups have the carb mounted to the turbo's intake. Since you have a fuel / air mixture coming out of the turbo, running it through an intercooler can make the fuel drop out. And you definitely would not want to find out what happens if a rock hits your intercooler and puts a hole in it.

I'd stick with EFI for a 2.3T.
I don't really see the advantage of a carb'd one.

well, heres my two cents...i know alot of the dirt track guys running 300+ in n/a form are using holley 350cfm, but with boost you could possibly run a 500 or 600 cfm if you monitor the a/f ratio (o2 sensor) and jet accordingly. If you are carefull you could also use the 350 under boost. This sounds familiar to a concept I was considering...but I was thinkin about 600+ hp with boost.

use a holley 350 2 brrl for that HP range. talk to Ford Racer on turboford.net for more info on a working setup with blow thru holley.
i use a custom built 4 brrl 390 carb, so... if you have money i can help a little lol. Ford Racer made 332hp with that holley 350 though...he may even sell it(and its already set up for blow thru). cuz he was thinking of upgrading to a 500 holley to see what would happen. good luck, you should really try turboford.net. you will get more help then here
