Well i found an 89 Mustang turbo 2.3
ive owned 3 hondas, but never anything that was boosted.


anyways, this car is 1200$ and its in pretty good shape body and interior wise, but when you drive the car it smokes. It makes good power, and doesnt smoke hardly at all when you keep it under 3,000 rpm. When you go into boost however, by the way its on 10psi, it smokes, and when you come out of boost to either shift or let off the throttle to slow down, it smokes quite a bit. its like a silver white/blue smoke. The smoke smells somewhat like a barbeque and sometimes it doesnt smell much at all. I was thinking it was a bent/cracked headgasket, but im not 100% sure. The guy who owns the car also swears that its the turbo burning oil. The oil gauge showed it was a little low also.

so i guess that question is, should i get it? what do you think the problem is? can i rebuild the turbo? where can i get a turbo for it if not?

I had this problem, I changed my valve guide seals. quit using oil completely. I bet you are going thru quite a bit right now. it is not a hard job
