Burning Smell When Heat Is On
my heat as been working fine but just today when i turned my heat on there was burning smell coming out and im sure it is the heat b/c when i turn it off it goes away....any ideas to what is wrong?

i dont know how to describe the smell...it just smells like something is burning, it stopped smelling for now though.

my guess is that there could be antifreeze leaking from your heater core and making that burning smell, which could result in a heater core change

sometimes if u havent had ur heater on for a long time it might smell weird for a bit.. but yeah it could be what the guy said
