ok so ive been thinkin about doing a turbo swap for a while and have seen a couple dohc ones that were expensive due to all of the modifications. so heres my question

theres a new 2.3 dohc engine in the rangers, some with 5 speed trannies.
how different are these engines in size and how difficult would these be to swap over in a fox?

ok you want to put a zetec dohc 2.3 in your car correct ??? that wouldnt be too difficult you just have to worrie about the ecu and putting a couple 02 sensors in the exhaust and puttin the maf in the intake some where. but what i would do is pick up a 98-00 ranger engine its a 2.5 the crank in the truck can handle up to 30 lbs of boost and 400 hp so ive heard.. you put rods pistons and p/p job on the head and you will have a pretty wicked lil fox the reason i know this is because i have a 2.5 ranger and i plan on doing that setup when the engine goes. As of right now she is still running strong with 200k miles on her

so im not sure if its the zetec but i know its the stock engine in the new rangers.
and i might do that but im always looking for something different and ive always liked the 2.3 dohc head swaps just dont have the money or time for all that modification to a volvo head
