exhaust leak or cat? drivin me crazy guys....i cant tell if it's an exhaust leak or the cat. conver.......noise is killin me and the wife wont stop complainin either.....suggestions???? thought about doin new header, is it worth restoring the stock one or finding another stock one...or going aftermarket????? |

If you were going to replace your stock manifold, you might as well get an aftermarket one. I think the stock ones are just as expensive, if not, sometimes more expensive than aftermarket. Don't quote me though. You can always get shorties if you're worried about emissions, but remember, they're still better than stock.

fixed it!!
turns out the previous owner took out the EGR system but didn't cap it on the header...simple $3.52 fix...went to Home Depot and got a pretty gold cap from the plumbing section and put it right on! just in case you ever need to do this...it's 5/8, and let the header cool first =P |
