I was looking at esslinger's website and i found pretty much all the things i needed but they didnt specify much about the parts. will most of these parts work for my 2.3 turbo engine??? also there is no feedback on the parts. should i trust this site and its online catalogue?

esslinger is pretty well known in the 2.3T world. I've never bought any of their parts or really talked in depth with anyone who has though. I would say to give them a call and talk with someone about what you need.

When I had my 2.3L, Esslinger was the ONLY company selling hop-up parts for that motor. Spendy stuff, but they put a LOT of tech info in their catalog that justified their prices. They had a 900hp (!!!) 2.3L sandrail (that included whatever hit of nitrous they ran on it, I don't know the numbers off juice).

Esslinger engineering has a reputation that proceeds them. They have an operation dedicated towards racing, which is a very tough and unforgiving business. The fact that they have been in businees for so long, really tells a lot about them. Not everyone one of their employees is a rocket scientist, but their history with 2.3 engines is really what keeps them at the top of the list.
In my career I have worked as an auto mechanic, machinist and finally an engineer and I feel very fortunate in this life that I have been able to chase a few dreams. For years I dreamed of owning an Esslinger head to feed my 2.3 power addiction. 6 years ago I finally got an Esslinger cylinder head of my own. I had previously built quite a few racing engines for other people and had seen first hand, the quality of their parts. My Esslinger head is the crown jewel of my car. It takes it from ordinary to extraordinary. It was perfectly machined and cast, it fit just like a stock head and weighs 33 lbs less. It has enabled me to build an Eco friendly 2.3. My hp with this head jumped from 170 with a ported iron head to 210, proving that it is definitely a serious part. I could make quite a bit more power with my engine, but that was not my original goal, I really just wanted to see what the Esslinger head would do on an N/A street motor. So far the experiment is going well. ![]() ![]() ![]()

I've worked with Esslinger for about a decade now dealing parts for the zetec motors, and i have always been impressed with their products, both in design and quality.
they have built their reputation on making trick 2.3 SOHC stuff that may seem very pricey for the 2.3 mustang street crowd, but for the sprint car arena, they're thousands cheaper than the offy motors that are their competition for that class of racing. to see one of those motors fully dressed for battle is a work of art.
