No, but I think the ranger header is a waste of time, really. And here's why I think that. The primary tubes are too small, there are numerous sections of the header which are crushed intentionally as part of the manufacturing process and the collector is too small. Other than that, I like it.

So with the header that is it the link on the first page that reads 2.3 Ford Pinto Late Model Headers it is alot better than stock and better than the ranger header? Would you have to use the mandrel pipe piece to make it work?

Yes, it is much better than the factory Ranger header, about 10-12 HP better. It does not need the mandrel bend, it will work OK if you have a muffler shop connect it to the rest of the exhaust system using 3" diameter tubing coming off the header.

Well, the bottom end is completely stock. The MSD6AL 2 sells for around $250.00 these days. The DynaTech / Speedflow headers are around $140.00. A DIY exhaust pipe bend kit goes for $150.00-200.00. An Esslinger head with everything sells for around $2,500.00. The Shiftmasters EEC tuners were selling for $350.00 last time I checked. My converters were $200.00 for both. A copper head gasket sells for about $60.00. MSD timing controllers sell for $135.00 from Summit. All of the transmissions upgrade parts totaled around $300.00.
I have spent waaay more on other car projects and had 1/10 of the amount of fun, so dollar per fun factor is really high with this one and I've never taken this car project very seriously, which is probably why I have enjoyed it so much. If other people don't share my enthusiasm for it, that's OK with me.

Nice build man have you ever run her for timeslips at the track? I am guessing the biggest gain came from the head.

I had previously run a 15.10 with 180 HP. I would think it might be possible to make it into the 13 second bracket, if I had some 3.73 gears and a 5 speed.

Nice car ... coupes are my favorite. Cats do suck but if the state requires em' you definately have to have em. If you go to OHC320's "garage" you'll find his set up and this guy is the one that answers everyone and is definately helpful ... now just take your time and do it right the 1st time. Remeber it's your car, do it the way YOU want to. This stuff doesn't have to be rushed.
