How can you test for IAC failure ?
It seems to be a new IAC valve for the 2.3 is about $100. I will buy it if I have to but I want to be sure its failed and not just dirty.
Is there a way I can test this ? Either way Im going to at least remove it and clean it out and give it another go before I open up the wallet for a purchase. Please Advise Thanks ,

its fine mostly during normal driving but when I let it idle like at a stop light it sputters and shuts off.
It does this in park as well. I filled up the tank w premium and ran it for a bit to see if it was some messed up gas but no go its still acting up. As long as I give it gas it's fine but when I come off it the car wont stay up. it does this when the RPM's drop under 1k. but if I keep it over all is well

yep thats it then, you can find a cheaper IAC from ebay or a donor, there all pretty much universal, the 5.0 ones should fit to

Thanks
I cleaned it out and put i tback on and the issue was still the same so I was lucky enough to find another IAC for "FREE" and the car runs like a champ.
my tranny was acting up and rear was making noise so I got all that replaced as well. Total cost of everything $250.00 - I love Georgia Salvage Yards
