what the hell my spedo stops at 85 what do yours stop at. because ya ive taken mine up to redline in fourth but have no idea how fast i was going

My speedo also runs to 85 . Zonker showed me a divide math thing to kno how fast I'm going. It's on one of the recent posts here

oh you mean calculating top speed by rpm, trans gear ratio, rear end ratio and tire size?

Somethin like that lol if your running 70 mph @ 3000 you divide the rpm by speed 42.8 then stomp it till say.5000 rpm and then devide the 5k by the 42.8 which equals 116. Something. Get me?? I suck at explaining lol also the calculating has to b on the same gear all through

My 2.3 speedo only went to 85, but I did have the need almost to the odometer once. Not sure how fast that was.

Dont actually know how fast i was going, only that my speedo doesnt "stop" at 85. It keeps going till it hits the odometer button.

It also helps that 4th gear doesnt kick in

Yeh its pretty cool when you can kick it sideways in 2nd gear (at 5000 rpms haha!)

i rod checked mine as well. i guess the hatch was the designated roller coaster.
If ya find a gt speedometer its a fairly easy swap then ya can tell how fast you are moving. till ya peg that one out anyway. hope you all had a happy thanksgiving.and props to those who scared somebody new.

how fast I have had mine yet. I have the 85mph speedo as well. This car pulls pretty good in all gears.
