Does any one know if there is an aluminum after market block for the 2.3???

It has be talked about before, but so far no manufacture has come forward with any offerings and I doubt they ever will.

yeah i igree with OHC the 2.3 is to old and really the only racing that regularly uses them that need an aluminum block is ministocks but they usually dont have the coin for a $5000 block. But if your dead set on having one im pretty shure DART cold make you a prototype if you have the cion that is

Dart? Well would the weight loss be worth it? Also will the block b strong enought for turbo? Is there a lighter option other than the stock block and aluminum?

YOU'VE NEVER HEAR OF DART!!!!!!!! They only make the best heads and blocks period for fords and chevy v8 check them out Dart Machinery - Cylinder Heads, Engine Blocks and More...
Dude there are guys out there running 9 second turbo 2.3 mustangs with 900hp with a stock block the block is plenty strong so run it because there not that heavy i lifted my short block out of my engine bay with only my hands

wow i guess it b better to spend that money else where, may going tubular on the front end. does any one know how much weight diff there is w the stock member and a tubular one???
