Stock Mustang Injector Flow Ratings...

If I did my research right, the 91-93 8 plug head 2.3 uses a 14 lb fuel injector? I found tests of 147cc-154cc @ 3 bar and 14.5 ohms resistance.

Stock Injector Ford P/N: F1ZZ-9F593-B, F1ZE-9F593-B4C

Does that sound right?

sure but 17lb injectors sound better haha. kidding asside i put 17lbs in my old ranger and it had way better throttle response and idle quality. strang huh? i even swapped in a new set of 14lbs and it still ran better with the 17s. guess its due to less duty cycle required of the injector. iduno

how much did the set of 17's run ya? Might do this... I think my car is running rich tho. Gets shit mileage. about 24 highway and 17 town driving. Any ideas?

that was my choice too as far as upgrades go... i'm gonna run a set of 17# bosch design III's (oem focus zetec injectors) and see what that gets me.

i got them used out of a mid-late 90s gm 3.1l think it was like 30 bucks

they do 94-00 run 17s(higher hp)

different testing parameter will give you different readings thats why someone else may state they are 15's in a 2.3.

when tested, they are under 15lbs at 43.5psi so it's a safe bet to call them 14's, not 15's.

i did not find any flow comparisons to show anything bigger than a 15 lb injector on 2.5 or 2.5 OHC rangers to '01.

got a part number (bosch, ford, or motorcraft)? i can do some more research to confirm there are 17's in those trucks.

BUT... even if they did have 17's, since they have the old design single or double pintile injector, i'd still rather run the focus ones (full plastic shell, grey in color).

the newer injectors atomize fuel much better so theres a better chance of improving mpg and hp with them.

read this closely these are chevy parts on a ford!!!!!!!94-2000 GM 3.1l ran 17lb injectors

wich will work in a 2.3 sorry for he confusion as for rangers they have lower rate injectors than mustangs
