Upper intake gutting (Brandy please help!! LOL)
soon i should be getting in a upper intake in the mail and want to gut it out.. never done such and dont want to mess up. i know i need one of them porting bits but dont know where to get them.. also any tricks to make the process go smoother? times windling down and want to get this stuff done before i start pulling the motor.. also anyone got a stock 91-93 roller cam and followers for sale? anyone?

A Sawzall (hand held reciprocating saw)works well for rough cutting of the intake. On aluminum, I prefer to use a pneumatic grinder with coarse sanding rolls.

I just did mine as well. Started with a sawzall, got most of the metal out, then I switched to carbide bits that I ordered off ebay for 50 bucks for a set of 8. Worked wonderfully!

![]() the two on the far right are good for smoothing out the metal. The sawzall is good for gettin the mass of the metal out. Then just work it with the the bits i just told u about. it takes alot of time |
