93 transmission into a 90

okay, so we have a job in our shop were doing for a friend. he doesnt have much money so hes doing this as cheap as possible. we have a 93' transmission. everything is fine except the 3 prong plug in the 93' transmission. the 90' transmission had a 2 prong plug. the plug is for the overdrive. what do we have to do to make this work?

I think that swapping the 90' 3-4 shift solenoid into the 93’ transmission is the best way to remedy this problem. Hopefully the old solenoid is still good.

Upon looking at EEC diagrams, the 90's harness wires are red (VREF 5 volts) and Orange w/ yellow stripe (EEC #52 signal return).

If you look at the 3 terminals on the trans, they make a triangular pattern. Looking at the terminals, with the center terminal oriented as the topbof the triangle, that center terminal is the red VREF wire, and the CCO terminal #53 wire is to the right. I think you'd leave the terminal to the right un-connected.

that's my best guess anyways.
