My headlights start to flicker when I put the car in drive. When its in park the lights are fine. I am not sure what would be causing this. Alternator? Bad light switch? But if a bad switch, wouldn't it always flicker even if in park?

when you say flicker, fo you mean dim/bright, or do you mean on/off?

the way to see if it's charging system is to watch your volt gauge while the lights are flickering. if the needle moves to discahrge the same time your lights get dim, then it indicates a charging system or bad wiring condition.

if the lights come on and off, then i'd look at the bulb itself and the headlight switch, then the wiring - in that order.

The lights look as if if have gone over some bumps but I haven't. Its a steady flicker. The meter gauge on my car always moves up and down fast. I def think the gauge is loose so its hard to tell by looking at the gauge. The lights don't actually shut all the way off. Just get a little less bright and then back to normal. Tough to explain.
