well i found out that the car has sat for about 2 years. so i needs a really good cleaning and changing the cats. ill do that and see if that helps.

oh man, shes one hurting hatch back, but that engine looks UN-touched so it has to be the EEC

well under acceleration it cuts out a little bit i dont know if its because it has set for such a while or what.

well after seeing all you can do with a 2.3 turbo i just might have to go that route and keep my gas mileage.

i'd say mod the 2.3 thats in it now and find a 2.3T E3 block and build it up

so a CAI and header and exhaust should pick it up a lil bit. and where is the EEC located and how do i know its bad?

im not sure if this is wut ur talking about, but ur car has a knock sensor on it

at the slightest sign of knock, it kicks ur engine timing back like 10 degrees

and it takes a couple minutes to go back to normal.. try taking that off and see if it helps

not sure tho , it might jus be ur EEC, but u still wanna take off the sensor cuz it does do that

no it sounds like the EEC is shot but its starting to sound like the timing is set retarted, and the EEC located in the passenger kick panel, and yes and intake will do more for you,

well i can stomp the gas to the floor and the rpms go upslowly so that might be timing noticing the cap and wires were just replaced.

get a timing light and check for a notch on both the cam and the crank and see where there at

well it will go 70 mph but it seems like a throttle problem i can stomp the gas to the floor and it acts like it wants to die. also can an automatic eec work with a manual tranny?
