2.3 engine swap

My 2.3 4cylinder went down on me the other day after running hot. Come to find out the radiator is as old as the car. Well as for right now the car isnt running and im thinking about changing the engine out. Possibly a 302 of sorts, and good ideas, advice, etc I could get before partaking this change, thanks in advance.

Also one last thing, what engine sizes would fit into my 93 Mustang Hatchback.

5.0/2.3/2.3T I'm pretty sure wouldn't be a issue. I'm not sure on the V6, as I don't recall atm what year they started coming in stangs. I would think, a 289 would as well being if I'm not mistaken, its the same block as a 302. Would be different depending on what your looking to do. Some one correct me if I'm wrong on the input.

Thanks for the info, I was able to pick my 302 up at $250. The engine is running and all just needs a throttle body. So far im excited can't wait to get it in the car, but before I go running it I have to replace my old radiator also. Its what caused the car to over heat so bad in the first place.
