instrument cluster problems...

lately on my 88 vert some of my guages are messed up.. first of all the oil pressure guage twitches now and then and im assuming the sending unit is acting up... the other is the speedo.. when im on the highway doing 55-60 mph it bobs up and down.. do i need to change the whole panel? i heard and saw that they have a voltage regulator on the setup too.. could that be the problem.. has anyone else's acted up like this before? id appreciate some info.. thanks

The speedometer problem is not going to be an electrical issue on an 88. A worn cable is a likely problem and can cause the gauge bob up and down.

On the oil gauge, I would first replace the sensor first, before moving to other parts.

i check my oil level about every two weeks because the motor is in need for a gasket set because it tends to leak alittle bit out of the oil pan.. the guage has been twicting about everyday for the last month lol so im pretty sure the sending unit is shot..ive put all of my trust into this car which i havent to any other car before.. shit i even drove it home from work when i didnt check the antifreeze mixture on a cold michigan winter day and the only reason the car quit was because the radiator was starting to slush.. didnt crack the block, head,or radiator and still driving the hell out of her lol..
