Ok, well after overhauling my engine (finally got warm enough outside to do it) found out I have a cracked cylinder head, what are some decent heads I can replace it with, I have roughly 3 grand to do this with (obviously dont wanna spend it all on the head alone).

You can get a ported head AND larger than factory cam combo, fully assembled ready to bolt in place from Boport for less than 2k.

Ok, got what I need, but still have a problem with the downpipe, all the downpipes I have found say they only fit a T3 turbo, I do not know what kinda turbo I have being its the stock turbo in a 1984 Mustang GT Turbo 2.3L....anyone know what kinda turbo is in it so I tighten up my search and maybe have more luck?

Well it could be either a Garret T-3 or a Warner-Ishi turbo. In either case, any of the commercially available turbo down pipes should work.

Oh BTW, I have been checking into this new iron head casting. It looks pretty interesting, especially for the $$

It is a much cheaper option than the Esslinger or BoPort heads. Thinking of picking one up just to play around with. Advertised price is $550.00 Now that price is just for the bare casting, but the rest of the parts could be sourced for a fraction of what their asking for a fully assembled head.

I hate to resurrect old posts, but if you guy's didn't get a chance to see the work that Clash did to his stang, you'd be missing out. Really nice car!!
