I have posted detailed info on this several times, so you might want to dig around again.

Here’s the deal; your stock ECU won’t push much past 80% duty cycle. On 16 lb. injectors you’re not going see more than 110 HP. (must burn fuel to produce power) there’s just no way around this, despite what you might otherwise have heard.

19# injectors will work with your stock ECU and can get you enough fuel for 125-135 HP, which can be achieved with mostly stock engine parts.

Here’s one proven recipe;

Raising compression by a full point and a quarter, by removing material from the bottom of the head.

The” right kind” of head porting.

Exhaust manifold porting or small tube header + a larger 2.25” lead pipe coming from the manifold going to your converter.

All this brings you 8/10th’s of the way towards the goal.

You will need to play around with ignition timing as well, to pull this off.

A cam with at least .420” of gross valve lift, allows the head to flow enough gas to produce 135 HP.

About now, you probably think that 135 HP isn’t enough to even bother with, but you might re-consider if you had a chance to drive a Mustang that has these mods. The low speed torque that this engine can make is impressive and does a fair job of pushing the car up to speed. I have recorded BSFC in the range of .44 lb. per HP/hr with this combo, which is amazing for an engine this old, using 8 valves. Talk about having your cake and eating it too. Lighten the car and you can run in the 15’s and still pull off 30 MPG!

it's got a tubular header (the first one ive seen with cast flanges) and i have two sets of injectors laying around from rebuluids one from a 98 explorer and another from a 94 5.0 bronco from what i have found though they are 21s and i'm going to put the 1/4 horse on the top of the list for some adjustability but college and 2 other toys puts the daily down on the list. i did find your reliable 175hp tread helpful though the MAP is the only thing that it didn't help with

Unfortunately, there are no direct support files for 8C ECU’s that I have found, meaning that you will need to copy the files from your ECU and try to modify the strategy from a more popular ECU, or pay someone to do your tuning.

I might sound like a broken record here, but I would have an honest HP goal in mind, which fits a realistic budget. If you’re eventually planning on more serious mods in the future, then it makes sense to swap to a more popular, supported ECU and work from there. LA2, LA3 or PK1 ECU’s have lots of support and can be mated with a MAF, which would ultimately be the system I would recommend for anyone wanting to make more than 135 HP.

Are you planning more upgrades?

is the stratagy h9j19 or more have you heard of that one. and for right now i'm looking for around 140 150 hp range so i don't have to put it to the floor to keep up with traffic. and at i later date i wouldnt go over 300 but probably stay in the 200 250 range at the flywheel of course. i'm not looking for a race car however the glasspack on it would be complemented nicely by a turbo.
