How many splines does an 89 lx convertible (2.3L) have on the rear axles???

I want to do a 4 lug to 5 lug conversion on my 'Stang, but I wasn't sure how many splines my rear axel has... Does it have the same as the 5.0 or is it completely different?

It has the same splines as another 7.5 inch axle. Rangers and newer V6 mustangs have the axles you want. The ranger might have 2 different lengths axles though and you need 2 of the one length i think. (cant remember i saw it somewhere) A 5.0 5 lug will be an 8.8 inch axle and will not have the same spline or bearing surface size.
