I Know, I Know Strange Question 97 Ranger 2.3L Code p0303..
well in the process of trying to store my stang away this winter i bought a 97 ranger 2.3L for my winter beater... when i bought it it had a p0303 code.. cyl#3 misfire detected... ive changed wires,plugs,checked injectors,didnt find any vac leaks and compression seems alright.. what else could it be? bad valve? i figured since its the same motor one of ya guys would of ran across something like this... tomorrow the head is getting torn off to investigate further..

head work is in the process... seemed like all the exhaust valve seats were sunk in and number two exhaust valve was cracked... but still dont understand why it threw number three for a misfire??? we'll see by the weekend when it gets put together...
