A few electrical issues

Headlights do a bit of a wig-wag action when pulling the lever which is cool, but won't get me past inspection (although it did last year?). The drivers bulb stays on high when dims are on and when using the flash to pass, but when flipped to bright position, it goes to the normal level. Passengers bulb works normal. High beam light on cluster does not light. Is it a bulb issue (I know I replaced atleast one bulb but can't remember if I did both or not), or a switch issue. Looks like the fuses are ok

Second issue, radio was working perfect yesterday, took car in for some welding work. Today when I picked up the car today and radio no longer works. Well the display works great, but no sound from radio. Also seems like it isn't picking up the signal, as it will stay on perminant scan. Could the welding have caused a short? It's a premium sound optioned car with the amp under the seat.

Hazard lights blink but are almost non visible, it's like the bulbs are not getting very much electricity. New flasher needed or bigger problems?

Won't have time to work on car until next week but wanted to hav a place to start when I did.

check the multi-function switch (lever) as it may be malfunctioning on you. It will control most of those things that you are mentioning dealing with the lights and flashers. As far as the radio is concerned where ever the antenna is mounted on the outside were they in that area doing some welding?

I did pull the switch lastnight. It was very greasy and dirty but I didn't have the special torx bit to open it up and look inside. Should I just purchase a new switch? The welding took place on the drivers floor pan so I was at a loss. I pulled the radio to make sure the cable was in too. I'll try a tape in the deck and see if I get sound

yeah, the switch could be the culprit. If it isn't too expensive then I would just replace it especially if it is loose. as far as the radio goes try taking a piece of wire and attaching it to the radio then to a new ground on bare metal. Ive seen radios that werent getting a good ground and would try and pull ground from the antenna, problem is that when it does that the connection isnt great cause its not actually a grounded spot and would cause those symptoms that you are experiencing. not saying that it is it but its worth a try.

I pulled the switch apart and tried to clean up the inside, no go so I guess I'll have to drop atleast 100 for a new one. I'll have to check out the radio in a few days. Thanks for the help thus far

Hahahaha. Finally got some time to work on the issues and I started replacing the headlights since I had new ones and the car was in the garage. Got the new ones put on, ordered a used switch but the same issue prevailed. Turns out the jacka$$ had put a 9007 headlight in the drivers side, not the proper 9004. Easy fix and now they work great. Radio is on the back burner because I am picking up a replacement t5 but I have a feeling it's the ground as you said Wratherx. Do you know where the ground on the chassis is for that?
