2.3L Problems.

Ok so heres my problem folks. Rebuilt a 2.3L engine had a higher performance cam put in, port and polished the head, new header, and some other random stuff. I'm slowly replacing stuff as needed to try and fix my current problem and was hoping someone here might be able to help me. When I go out in the morning and start my car it starts fine and runs fine for the most part. Now once I start driving it and get it to tac 4k rpms the car starts having a miss. Through all rpms and all gears till the engine warms up and eventually the miss goes away and doesn't show back up. I replaced the ignition coil, spark plug wires, and spark plugs thinking it was somewhere in there. So anyone experience or know what might be causing it?

Edited - 1987 2.3L engine. 1988 Body.

Timing has been set as best as it can be. When the miss isn't happening the car runs fantastic its just the initial startup and reaching 4k rpms.

How would I go about testing this and/or fixing this if it is the problem?

Ok well after long delay heres the cam Specs.

Its a Speed Pro CS1156R Hydraulic Camshaft.

Thats from summit and here is what we were told it was.

Valvelift Int. 454 Ex. 454
Duration @ .050 lift 220/220

It idles fine in its current state. It just that god forsaken misses that pisses me off that i'm trying to fix. As for power it picks up about 2-2500 rpms. Redline on the car is about 5500 rpms if I recall correctly. Dunno never wound the car up past 5000. Regardless cold start tack 4000 rpms and a hard miss comes into play and stays there till the engine warms up. TurboLX was saying the valves aren't opening properly or staying shut some times which could be causing it. He asked for the cam specs so here they are. Hopefully this will give enough info to try and get this car purring instead of gagging and puking.

Edited - Forgot the major changes to this engine are the cam, port and polish and the head was shaved like .080 of an inch or something close to that.

Yes the head was sent to the shop to have new springs, retainers and everything installed properly with the new cam.
