4 cylinder 7.5 and V8 8.8 Axles

Are the 2.3 4 cylinder 7.5 rear axles and the V8 8.8 rear axles interchangeable? I need new axles for my 4 cylinder 7.5, but they are hard to find compared to the 8.8 rear ends in junkyards around here. I know you can swap the entire rear ends but you have to do some modifying, but I'd rather just put new axles in. So, are they interchangeable? If not, I'll keep looking in the junkyards for a 2.3 7.5 rear end. Thanks a lot guys!

I am putting an 8.8 in my 4 Cyl. The brake lines are different, but it is a direct bolt in.

I was talking about just the axle rods, but I bought an 8.8 rear end yesterday, so I'm just gonna do a swap. Plus it's got those extra dampers that just bolt on to my car to prevent axle hop I'm guessing? Sweet..

The 8.8 axles will not fit in a 7.5, totally different axles. you dont need to worry about it now, but i thought you should know.
