I'm Mike...

1984 SVO

It's stock and I just plan on restoring it, no "factory mods" or tuning will be done.

1986 SVO motor

I've got an SVO T5 and the t3/t4 factory turbo, turbo bracket, E6 manifold... still gotta pick up a few other parts.

I plan on doing all the little upgrade things to this motor, but nothing too crazy. Don't know what I'm going to mount it in yet...

I was looking for a cheap car on Craigslist and I came across an add for an 89' Mustang 2.3L convertible for $300.00. Wanting to entertain myself, I decided to call and find out about this 300 dollar, marvelous piece of mechanical perfection.

So after looking at the car, I got the full story from the owner. It was a donated car, with 70,000 miles on it, which sat on property owned by the charity organization to which it was donated. It sat outside for the last 4 years, until the top began to tear and the seats and carpet were ruined. the guy who sold me the car, tried to fix it himself, by cutting the wires to the fan to make it work and replacing the spark plugs and leaving them "loose" as well as destroying the ignition lock, because he lost the key.
When he started the car for me, it was ticking (loose plugs)but he told me the valves needed adjustment (they are non adjustable) and that any shop could do that for me easily. So I fixed the afore mentioned problems and put some bearings in the alternator, threw in some seats I had, which were taking up space in the garage loft and bought a brand new carpet $100.00 and a bright white top for $250 bucks. I have been waiting for a break in the weather to put the new top on.

hey everyone whats good? im Ronnie im from north carolina. i love these foxbody stangs and have 3 of them and have always wanted a 5.0 stang but after find this site and others that actually have the 2.3 performance parts i have looked for one the net for about 3 years i wouldn t ever care if i drove a dam 5.0 stang it may not ever be a 5.0 stang or sound exact to one but like it was said before they are to over-rated and im proud to drive a 2.3 anyday of the week. see mine might be factory now but i know all the guys in my area that dirt track races these stang and i know what they can really do as far as hp and power. mine was factory before i bought it and my buddy blew u the factory engine and we put a dirt track modified rookie 4 enegine in it before i got it but its all wore down from racing the on the dirt lol.

93 lx 2.3 modified crossfire (8 plug) 5sp

mods:

1993 ford mustang lx convertiblel 2.3

hi everyone,by looking at the price everyone has paid for there mustang i think i paid way to much..lol. I purchased my stang about 2 months ago for 2400.00 dollars.I have always wanted this car so it didnt seem like that much to me.The car had only a little over 87,000 original miles and i was the third owner.I did a carfax report on the car.The older ladie i purchased the car from had it for over ten years.Last year she put a brand new black convertible top and transmission in the car and the pony rims.I think thats the only thing she has ever done to the car since she has had it..lol.Well when i picked the car up it ran horrible and sounded horrible but it was what i wanted so i was happy.I have put a turbo exhaust, new plugs and wires, fuel filter, air filter, coil pack,o2 sensor, and a battery.Did i pay to much for the car?maybe but i got what i wanted..lol.Now all i need is a good paint job and ill be ready for the summer.I will ad performance parts through out the summer ill keep u guys posted.

1992 Mustang LX 2.3 auto.

right now we're having some major problems...

Just got the car yesterday..

tried to start it, sounds kinda like the starter isn't engaging, and the drivers side seat rail is ripped completely out and the oil smells of gas.
I have a feeling the engine is bad.

I kinda need help with this as soon as possible.
thank you.

Hi, I'm Jason. I own an 86 mustang that I purchased for $300 on craigslist, it has a blown 2.3 and an auto trans!! It is currently under construction, but here goes! I purchased a 2.3 Turbo from a Merkur XR4Ti complete with turbo, intercooler, wiring harness, and computer! I got a T5 from a 93 GT! I got an 8.8 out of the same GT I got the trans, and its got a tracloc with 3.73 gears!! After checkin the motor out I'm just replacing some gaskets, spark plugs, and hoses! The car does not run yet, couse I'm having some small setbacks due to my lack of expereince wiring the car, LOL!!! Future mods to come: 18 inch Bullit wheels, 5 lug conversion, 2 inch drop, GT brakes, 3 inch cowl hood, tinted windows, a stereo, and some motor upgrades!! Not to sure what to do to the motor, guese I'll have to research it, but my current gaol is 12's in the quarter mile!!
