picked up a 79 coupe today

i will get pics tomorrow if possible.
its got a 2.3 auto in it. runs like a top. I gotta put a master cylinder on it and the cars in pretty decent shape to be a 79 model.

but its gonna get a complete drivetrain transplant later on. and some other odds and ends.

anyone else here have a 79-86 stang? lets see some pics

btw paid $325, not bad for a running car thats not rusted out and is 28 years old!

yeah its carbed. i couldnt believe it, cranks on first try and runs like a new one. no spittin and sputterin

i hope this thing is a friggin gas saver. im gonna leave it 4 banger until i get alot of the interior and body work i want to do done. then in goes the pushrod powerhouse

i been wanting a 4 eyed coupe for a long time. Im gonna take the 79 front bumper cover off and replace it with an 85-86 front bumper cover. Even though the 79 cover is in perfect condition. First thing is to get a new steering column. the previous owner lost the keys and jacked the column up, then found the keys after that. but it cranks! well actually a master cylinder is the 1st thing, otherwise it would be in my yard right now. I have to find a trailor to haul it home. I could drive it and pump up the brakes but thats to risky.
