Need an Cheap good Aftermarket intercooler


ok im new here sorta i been roaming around here for a while but anyways i am getting a 2.3T motor for my 90mustang and i want to get a FMI for it so i need help finding one what is a good site to get one off of or a good car to take the intercooler off

well first off, what turbo are you running??

The IHI or the Garrett T3 60/40??

to tell you the truth i have no clue in what turbo is on it it a 86 Tbird motor with stock turbo i have no clue which one of the two it would be lol

ok then its a Garrett T3


the most poular CHEAP intercooler is a Volvo one from the early style Turbo Volvos with the DOHC, find one in the junkyard and grab it, its a very excellent upgrade which most 2.3 guys are using

but i heard i need another radiator to go with it to is that true? btw i was hoping you would answer my questions to since your the expert on this part of the forums XD

it would be best becasue theres no way to get the charge pipes into the FMIC, most guys can get away with it by using the stock radiator and going around or under them

get a core from a company that makes one, then weld the tubs to the side of it

no luck on the turbo, so far it looks like the diesel truck turbo might be best

i saw a list somewhere for JY turbos but i cant find it
