my buddy has shortened his throttle cable in his 95 mustang gt. makes it alot more responsive when you start to give it abit of gas(more touchy)

My car is a drive by wire... its electronic... when I step on the gas, a little motor opens the T/B similar as a cable would open it.

and then leave you stranded

either way.. needing to put less pressure on your gas pedal seems like a good way to lose gas mileage in a hurry lol

shortening the throttle cable would do exactly what you think. Takes less movement of the gas pedal to reach WOT. The guy guy is not building this car for street use. Much like my mustang I have a TON of play in the throttle cable. I can press the gas slightly and wont go anywhere.and if i am under the hood and have someone else press the gas and i watch the cable at the TB. there is so much extra cable there that it takes abit longer to even catch and open the tb plate open. thinking of shortening mine as wlel . Dont like having tht kind of play, but not goin to shorten it to the point where its like the slighest touch gets me goin in a hurry. Im gonna do it just enough to get rid of almost all that play
