Most HP from 4 cyl

I'm desperately wanting a fox vert but the 5.0's seem to be "beat" per say. What the most hp you could get out of a 4 cyl, without "supercharging"?

well im not the most tech when it comes to this forum but im guessin if you had alot of money you could get around 300 to 400hp.but if your lookin for small mod to help the car putt around town your could throw in some stuff to make it run better

why? because 2.3l were made for gas milege and they are demodded

well.. you're not going to be able to get more than 170 and still be street legal

a turbo wud be the way to go.. fortunately for 2.3 owners, putting a turbo on a 2.3 is a lot easier than you think

interested? stick around.

swapping in a turbo4 is easy as far as engine swaps go

you dont need to change the engine mounts, the suspension, or the transmission bellhousing or anything

its the same engine just comes with different plumbing and a different computer

and they come with 200hp.. and i believe 220lb ft. of torque

Jon Huber's car is street legal, and he's running 8's.

you serious?

that's beastly lol

but he's turbo'd tho

to make more than 200n/a you'd need an aggressive ass cam and ur head to be ported to hell and back.. not to mention your compression wud need to be around 12:1 or higher

well that's to the wheels, ur hp is at the fly

and plus the 2.3 is the lightest engine in a mustang

so you have an advantage on that

if you got 150-160 to the wheels in ur 2.3 you shud be able to pull most V6ers stock

well, ill kindly share what i kno.

we ported and polished the stock head, removing over 1LB of material
keith black pistons
5.7 rods
header from RacerWalsh.com (i do believe this is the only thing NOT street legal)
Holley 3500 4bbl Carburetor
Ultradyne 7500 RPM cam
Callies Crank
We dont run an alternator b/c we dont need to. And it robs horsepower. But if ur building a street motor, ur gonna need one so try and find a really light one .

Thats all i kno. there might be a few other things but i cant remember them right now. hope this helps
