Engine Swap EFI 2.3L for carberated 5.7L
I have a 1988 mustang LX, and I am doing an engine swap with a carberated 351W from a 2.3> I was wondering how I find the correct wires from the harness on the firewall to power my new engine? Any help would be great, Thanks!

theres already a post regarding the 4cyl to 8cyl conversion.
might wanna check that out and ask questions there. the author of that topic did a similar conversion and will have the answers for you. BUT id think that youd just have tofind a Mustang with a similar engine(the older carb V8 possibly?) |

.. no starter no go unless your gonna try cranking it over by hand like in the old days |

Thanks guys. Yeah I'm just trying to find the power to the ignition lock pretty much. I did a similar swap on an s10 4.3 to a 350 but my buddy and his dad went through all the wires to find the power they were looking for and it was just a single purple wire. It was a time consuming task, Im kinda lookin for an easy way out. Thanks

could always go get a manual that has the wiring diagram.
I know Turbo finds the Hanes Manuals useless but the wiring diagrames helped me alot. |
