Mileage from your 2.3 N/A? Is my car average?

1993 stang. 2.3L
Tank holds 15.4 gallons

I've burned 1/2. Making that 7.7 gallons of fuel.

Since topping off I have driven 123 miles

If you divide the miles by the gallons I get 15.9 mpg

Am I messed up somewhere?
I know its a 124K mile motor but something seems off.
This car has sat but it was dealer maintained regularly. Before storing it it had had a tuneup.
If I am only getting 16mpg 1/2 city 1/2 highway I am dropping a 5.0 in it.

Uhhh no that does not sound right at all. I've done a fair deal of stuff to my 2.3L motor that should kill my gas mileage and i'm getting about 23 city. Most recent thing i've done to adjust/fix the mileage problem I had was to set the cam and crank to TDC so its lined up correctly. Apparently they were off causing performance issues and gas issues. I'd definately look into it if I were you.

Yea somethings wrong

could be a few things

1st. problably crazy carbon build up, sea foam it

2. its not breathing like it should, cgeck filter or replace with K&N filter and/or Cold air kit

3. is it throwing codes?
