How Much HP On Stock Bottom End

hi i am a newbie to the 2.3t realm im putting a 2.3t in a 78 toyota corona and was curious as to the maximum hp a stock bottom end can handle before Kaboom happens also what was the factory rated hp for an 88 turbo car. thanks

they usually start breaking at around 550hp

the only 2.3T left was the T Bird and was 190hp

I'd say you're pushing it over 525. Keep it under that and you shouldn't have any problems.

theres guys running 600 with stock blocks

nothing on my engine is stock except the head, intake and the block
