My Horse Balls Need To Be Droppped, Like V6 Drop
whas up yall, this is my first experience w/a domestic car, i want some lengendary power that i see 5.0 stangs have, i have experience w/imports but i want a different type of feel w/these cars, plus i wanna feel being pushed rather than pulled, but i'm starting off rather slow, a fox style 93 2.3 4 banger(blamphemy in a mustang i think), what motors can i swap in this thing, i research from there, but if i can put a 95 motor in this thing, then i'm be on a roll..
please need some help for the crossover man

well anything is possible... stuff needs to be changed, like some suspension, drivetrain, and mounting brackets. that and wiring harnes and computer needs to be swapped with the 95 5.0 motor. fuel lines, possibly fuel pump.... its a pain, btu if u can do it itll be worth it. nothing beats a good pushrod motor....

i think you should drop a 351W with a T-5 in it.. that would really do the trick for ya!

Any 5.0 from 86-93 will go in most easily, since they were made for this Fox style. But like said above, a 351w will also drop into 5.0 mounts. A t5 may need to be strenghted a bit if you want to use the 351 with mentionable work on it. Also, to swap any v8 you'll need to change your kmember and front suspension. Go tubular with the kmember, and with the lower control arms. Lighter and stronger. Coil-overs are available too, if you want to, and many tubular k members require them. http://www.maximummotorsports.com/ has great kits, as well as individual peices. You'll also need a new rearend to sustain heavy use and lots of power. Oh, and if you go EFI you'll need a new computer.

The K-member is tha same from 4cyl to v-8. The springs and struts are different (if he hasn't already replaced them like many do). The brakes are also smaller and will be an absolute need with a 351. The factory brakes will fade after one hard stop. I tend to go ahead and put in the 95 up brakes (front and rear) out of a junk yard. This is a good chance to put an 8.8 in it. Then you'd have a rear sway bar too. How many upgrades you can do depends on the budget, but remember how much weight you'll be adding to the nose of your car.
Also the stock hood will not clear a 351. Plan on changing that too. The 4cyl trans would puke up its guts on one hit if it even fits (never tried that). The 7.5 rear would last a couple passes. I would do some upgrading first before dropping in such a motor.

not in a 93. That year got no such luck. The SVO was produced from 84-86. I would have loved to see it in 93! with say a twin cam head, MAS and the DDIS it would have flown. Some suspension mods and no import would have dared take it on stock.

My bust. And you have a point. The 93 block has the proper bearing size for the 2.5 stroker too.
