Ranger rotors? 5-lug swap on 4cly mustang
Who has performed this ? do you use mustang bearings or the ranger ones? the dust cap don't fit ?? gee ? Also when using the ranger axles , same Question do the bearings fit or do you have to change them? I have done a little searching either i have forgot something or haven't found that either way just looking for some info. hopefully someone on here has done it before and can help THANKS

ranger bearings are too small! guess the mustang ones will have to do . they are just a little tight. Appreciate all the help!!!

The only difference in the bearings is the inside diameter I believe. For a 4 cylinder Mustang you will need rotors from a 4 cylinder 83-92 Ranger and use the Mustang bearings. If they are tight they are either wrong or have too much preload on them from the nut. Fix the problem or you will be sorry. The front rotors, bearings and related parts take more stress than any other part of the car. It doesn't take much time to double check the part numbers on the bearings.
As far as axles go, the bearings are the same. Two driver side 83-92 4 cylinder Ranger/Bronco II or two passenger side 86-97 Aerostar axles and drums are what you need. 7.5 or 8.8 doesn't matter, the axle shafts are the same in both rear ends.

Well not tight as in preload . just the cotter pin is hard to get in ??????? The rotor turns freely after tightening the nut . the cotter pin is just a tight squeeze.
