Buying 87' Turbo Coupe or SVO which one or both?
I come across an 87' Turbo coupe and an 86' Ford Mustang SVO (not quite certain on the year)
The TC runs but fuel pump is bad and has a 110,000 miles. It looks to be in decent shape, the guy bent up lic plate so I don't have an idea yet on how long its been sitting there. The SVO has a wrecked front end but the interior and all of its components/accessories are still there and in good shape, but I haven't looked at it yet, just going off what the guy told me on th phone. It has 100,000 miles on the motor TC - $600 SVO - $1000 Which one would be the best buy or should I buy both?? I have pics of the TC but not the SVO, yet. http://i272.photobucket.com/albums/j...photos/TC2.jpg http://i272.photobucket.com/albums/j...photos/TC3.jpg http://i272.photobucket.com/albums/j...photos/TC1.jpg |

I'd go with the SVO... but that's mostly because every one that I've found goes for at least 2k+. I found a guy who wanted 12k for his and it had been sitting for 10 years and needed a ton of work..
but that's a personal call, but personally I'd do the SVO. |

shit by them both
the SVO's have a 7.5" rear and breaks around 300hp and has 200hp because of its larger IC and running higher boost and a sport suspension where the TC is an 8.8" with 3:55's an rated at 190hp with a switch to change the settings from premium to regular fuel which takes the boost from 12psi to 14psi fuck it, buy them both!

I feel the same damn way, I just have to hope that the SVO is fixable. Yep, I can definetly build one hell of a 2.3 between the two, or do the Turbo Swap with my 87 stang and try to refurbish the SVO. The guy that owns it said it runs and its sitting behind his house, he drives a truck for a living so he is not home alot, so I've been trying to catch him when he is home. The TC is about 45 min drive from my house and SVO is about 30 min. I might be able to get the TC cheaper than that, my sister's boyfriend lives in the same town, so I may just have him go talk to the owner of the TC, just maybe the price will get cheaper.. well see. |
