I just bought two convertible fox body mustangs. One of which is a 4cyl and the other is a V8. I bought them as a pair and got a really good deal. The V8(89') is pretty much wrecked. The reason i bought is was for the engine and tranny. I bought the 4cyl(88') to drop the V8 in. Now here is where my questions begin. Any tips will help. Thank you

1) Would I have to upgrade the suspension on the 4cyl to be able to handle the weight of the V8?

2) How much would it cost to have the engine, tranny, and exhaust swapped?

3) Would the fuel system and computer need to be replaced as well?

Yes, use the 8 cyl rear-end, springs in the rear can remain the same 2) How much would it cost to have the engine, tranny, and exhaust swapped? More than buying an original v8 car. If you can't do this on your own, or have friends that can help, I would not pay someone do to it, unless you want to pay me............ where do you live 3) Would the fuel system and computer need to be replaced as well? Yes the computer and the fuel lines will have to be replaced, v8 is on the passenger side, 4 cyl is on the drivers side, good news is the fuel pump is the same. I would also want to use the v8 wiring harness
