gearing help???


looking to gear an 8.8 posi and im just looking for some ideas on what range i need to be looking

well we need alot more info..if you have a tubro bird you either have 3.55 or 3.73's

yeah i know im gonna be gearing it for a street strip and i was just looking for an idea of what other people are useing. yes it does have the 3.73 in already but i want a quarter mile car not a gas saving road car. see what i mean

yes i will not be swapin it into a mustang body even though i like the style and some of the advantages. i want something different that people wont expect

is it auto or stick....a set of 4:10 will help get it moving

stick. is there anything else. i was looking at a 4:10 until a buddy said that it wouldn't have to much top end but i thought i would ask around first

My uncle had a 2.3T setup off of a Turbo Coupe on his '90 2.3 Mustang. He had 3.73 gears but often times had alot of trouble getting traction. I think 3.55 gears would be good enough for that car. But I know I love the 3.73 gears in my green Mustang.

There is also a 3.90 gear available.
