Is this toast or not

I got my head back from being cleaned and prepped and after however many miles of oil, sludge and gink came off I found these cracks. They are both on the inner 2 cyl. Is this head toast? Can these cracks be fixed? Should I even worry about them?

Great, one more thing I can use to keep my kid's basketball goal from blowing over.

Now that I am in the market for a new head.......is there any particular version I should be looking for, other than a custom head. I'll stay with an oem head, but are any years better than others? What about a dual plug head? It would be on a 85 block, could I just plug the other spark plug holes?

converting to the 8 plug head is to much work just to plug the other holes...

look for any 2.3t block, not n/a, there different from the 2.3turbo heads because of the little heart shape inside the ports
