Check ebay for a 4 cyl Ranger header off of a newer bodystyle. I think it's 1993 and up Rangers with the headers and not the exhaust manifolds.

are these ranger headers gonna bolt up the same as stock? anyhelp for what year? also i've read that ranger cam shaft will kick his old 90 in the ass too. Is this true? he has a stock motor except the Cai.

Yes, the Ranger header will bolt up no problem from what I hear. And also, the Ranger had a roller camshaft that would help out alot with the '90 four-banger. That's why the '90 2.3 had 88 HP and the '91 had 105. They used the roller cam and converted the system to a dual-plug head.
