mmm.. had a similar prob with my 89 I had awhile back. Everything was replaced spark plugs, wires, cap and router, filter the fuel lines, compression was good. Injectors were brand new. Nothing was wrong with it. But my fuel pump. Mine was worse then yours .. but number 1 cyl was the one that kept missing, but it would get really bad and eventually all cylinders would go one by one.. eventually car wouldnt run unless i let it sit and cool down for abit. But ended up goin away after I replaced my fuel pump.. So.. Might be worth something to check out.

well it not the Distributor cap and i cant see it being the fuel pump either the spark plug is just getting fuel all over it so could it be a broke value spring? idk im just guessing right now this car seem to do this alot to me=(

fuel pump could end up startin to lose the pressure it gives off not supplying enough fuel. Cyl1 furtherest from the pump would be deprived of more fuel. What happen to me atleast

set it on fire?
after you ran out of gas, did you make sure you didn't pop any seals in the fi? My bf was driving my stang one day, ran out of gas, and popped one or two of the seals... so he had to fix them in a parking lot. ran fine after that. |

+1 on the ignition module, didn't think of that...
I know when mine went bad the tach went nuts, it would drive fine for a little while and then start missing, backfiring, etc.. |

your engine is blown up! i think your tail light fluid is running low. maybe change the bulb. Try to dump salt in your gas tank that helps it idle better. I tried it and its cool!!!

ok, this sounds elementary, but I experienced similar prob...checked everything. Had new plugs, cap, rotor, just replaced timing belt...everything. Anyways, I eventually swapped the plug from cyl. 1 and cyl. 2, end result...cyl. 2 missed-solution....more new plugs, now it runs perfect. So try swapping 2 plugs and see if your miss changes cylinders.
