79 Notchback

i have a 79 notchback that has been in the woods for years and it turns out it was originally a 2.3l turbo it has the complete tan cobra interior with the snakeskin seats and the king cobra emblems is this a rare car ive never seen one before and how hard would it be to find the correct motor for it

thats the 1979 Turbo Cobra, a very rare find indeed

the original motor for that car was a draw thru carb set up maning the turbo is on the intake sidewith the carb right in front of it as a pipe from the exhaust side goes under the engine an up to the turbo

a really dumb set up over all

it will be kinda hard to find one of those engines

forget the correct motor, put a newer 2.3T in it

the carb'd turbo'd 2.3 sucked

but the 79 turbo cobra, like turbo said, is a very rare find.. fix it up, its sexy

there wasnt a cobra notchback i just researched but they did have notchback cars with 2.3 turbos. i still cant find anything on the interior though. is that what they were supposed to come with? it seems strange that ford would do that.

i cant get a pic until next week. its tan with wood grain accents and it says turbocharged on the dash. the door handles are at the very bottom of the doors. and the seats are like a "snake skin" look. they're very tacky looking. will post pics asap
