No my question is this. I assume this is still the same chassis designation, s197?

If not i missed the memo. But if so, then will it have a nick name? like the new edge did? The new edge is still the sn95.

If so, what will the nick name be?

So have you guys heard anything yet? Care to make a wild guess, or maybe we can make up our on name.

sorry i just think its funny cuz ford did the same shit back in the day...1964.5 to 1969 (well 1970 Boss is more than acceptable) they looked badass...then 1970 base models and 71' and up looked hideous hahaha and look whats happening now....2005 - 2009 look badass and 2010 looks ehh to say the least in my opinion...

but idk what we will call it..ill have tot hink about it

I dont mind the 2010 that much actually. I think ill get use to it. Its not the worst looking stang ever made. And once the aftermarket world starts making spoilers and splitters and so forth. it will be alright.

Trying to picture the saleen kit on that new stang???? dont know if the saleen back will work on that. I dont know. Maybe it will force something inovative.

But to me our car is the home run really. I like this car better then an old stang. I never thought i would say that.

eh its ok i dont really like the rear of the car but i think ford should have done more to the powertrain bc the challenger and camaro are pushing over 400hp stock but they do cost more though...

horsepower numbers are useless. the challenger r/t wont have 400hp and will be slower then a stang with whatever hp is has.

the camaro, it will be faster make no mistake, but no matter what ford did to the stang, chevy would put a fucking jet engine in a camaro to make it faster then a stang. GM has one mission in life when it comes to camaros, beat ford, thats always been its problem. Ford didnt need to match hp the last time around, it wont need to this time.

Anyway, no guesses on this nick name? who named the new edge was it ford?

back in the day they were dealing with about the same cubic inches... now it is all about design for Ford and cubes for GM/Mopar...... I like makeing more with less.

The stang will have a 400 HP 5.0 in '11 but who knows what Camaro will do once this is about to come out. Hopefully the weight will not change to much. I think once the 5.0 is added with the 6 speed and the new Sony sound system many will change their opinion on the refresh even though the rear is ugly. The interior is very nice though. Oh and i here many use the New Edge s197 name already.

get it right the stang will have a 4.6 315hp base gt model or a 6.2 400hp plus model in 2011, camaros automatic are making 400hp and manuals 420, challengers make 475hp but weigh 700 pounds more. The mustang will still be the best hp to weight car.

Myself didnt really like the body still of our cars when they first came out just cause i wasnt used to it. But i love my car now and i dont think the new stang looks bad at all. I mean they had to do a new design and i think they did a great you can with it!

I am thinking its gonna be the s197 still, but They may change it. The chassis is the same. But the car is a bullitt with different skin so it is what It is. I think it will grow on me except for the rear end of the car. The front is much improved over ours, but I will have to see and drive one.

The 6.2 has been scrapped for the Mustang. A 400 HP 5.0 will take the place of the 4.6 in '11. The '10 still has the 4.6 with 315 HP. Challengers STR8 only makes 425 HP. You better get it right before telling other too.
