Whats the max lift of the cams your going to be running? At .600 lift the heads will flow roughly 290 CFM on the Intake side and 193 on the exhaust side. CORR CFM is corrected CFM IIRC. So figure out what your cams max lift is then look at that chart to see where your going to be.

On the left hand side the .XXX number is what the intake/exhaust ports flow at that height of lift. Port is what side. Intake or exhuast... I miss anything?

The max lift on those cam's according to Comp's website is .450. So somewhere in between the .400 and .500 lift is where your going to be flowing on that chart. So somewhere in the 270 CFM range on the intake side and 170 CFM range on the exhaust side. Roughly.

Better. By about 7 CFM at max lift... Can't tell your what they would flow with those cams because I don't they don't have a spec sheet listed for them (Stage II heads) on the website. Just shows max numbers.

Ok.. See where it says lift? Below that is the hieght the valve is raised. .600 being the highest they tested the flow at. This is the MAX lift. Now, under CORR CFM. Under that column is the amount of CFM flowing through the port at the corresponding amount of lift. So, at .600 valve lift these heads will flow 290 CFM on the intake and 193.9 on the exhaust side.

Your cams have a max lift of .450. So, if you look where it says .400-.500 on the lift column and follow that over to the CORR CFM column you get your flow for your cams. Somewhere between .400 lift and .500 lift. That is.

these heads have oversized ehaust valves, yet max lift shows less CFM than the stage 2 according to the website WTF. And thanks corn boy.

Oversized vavles will not help flow. But they will help atomization on the intake side and help with valve wear on the exhaust side because the bigger they are the more heat they can hold/deal with. Didn't you mention they are stainless too? That will help a lot as well.

I'd still say those theads are better than stage II's.

No problem. Glad to help Maple Man......

uploading a pic for stage 2 and 3 right now. I have been looking at it. Like towelly said, they flow better at most lower lifts up to 500. 600 lift flow is of little concern. Even stage III spr blower cams dont have a .600 lift.

We are going to do some custom cams for ken down the road to match these heads.

Cool. When you get some custom cams in there, they will for sure be better than stage II's.
