K&N, C&L or SLP Cold Air Intake

Local shop says he has K&N CAIs for 269. Have not shopped the price but I like to do my business with the same people. He also has the SLP cai.

Does anyone have any experience with K&N cold air intake.... Ive used their air filters for years but never got a cai before....

I know the C&L looks badass but not sure how the K&N ones are...... Gonna buy on Tuesday with my other mods.

Either is great, but a company called MMR, Modular Mustang Racing has a setup guaranteed to beat k&N's by 5 rwhp. Its a little more expensive, but does the job.
I plan to either get that, or the C&L Racer Intake, simply because I plan on doing head and cam work. the Racer works better for modified heads and cams.
The c&l street intake is a great one, and if you plan on putting a small dry shot of n2o on there, the k&n will get shredded if there is a nitrous backfire.

if you're going to spend $269 on a k&n, go ahead and check out JLT. his kits are $205 and a much better product imo. here's a link

+1 on the JLT. i installed one with the SCT tuner a couple weeks ago and DAMMIT MAN.....hugh difference. i would recommend the JLT or C&L for your CAI. from what i've read and heard from others that have other CAI brands they aren't getting nearly the same gains. i got the the CAI and tuner for about $550 shipped to my door from doug at bamachips. his canned tunes are amazing and you WILL NOT be disappointed.

I've got the JLT and had him paint it to match for only a little extra. That with the SCT tuner is a BIG difference. I highly reccomend JLT!!!

I have the C&L CAI and SCT tuner and love them... I got them from lethal performance. Those guys are really good to deal with, if you have a question or email them they get back with you really fast.. I got both as a package deal and paid 690 something.

$555 for JLT CAI and SCT X-cal 2. better product, cheaper price. seems like kind of a no-brainer to me.
