help rear end leaking.

My rear end is leaking out the driveshaft input. What seal is that and how easy of a fix is it? I don't have time to do it today. So where can I fill it up to get it by until next weekend? I bought the oil I just need to know where to put it thanks.

pinion seal? sound right? I read there is also a vent that could be clogged? Any idea how long to change a pinion seal and where's this vent?

That seal is called a pinion seal. Its easy to replace. Behind where your drive shaft connects to that flange there is a huge nut that holds the flange on. Use an impact if you got it to take that nut off pull the flange out, you'll see how your left with that disc looking thing with a hole in it that the flange just came out of. That is the seal, ideally you'd have a pinion seal puller tool to remove it but if you dont a pry bar or anything you can slip in there with enough leverage to pull it out will work. Once you've removed that take your new one and tap it into place till it resembles how the old one was before you pulled it. Now just everse the process, just be careful when tightening that large nut back down because these cars used a crush sleeve from the factory to set the pinion gear depth so tighten it down to PFT just dont get crazy.

No sure dont sorry. I know a lot of guys on this forum who install their on Spydershaft driveshafts which require the removal of that nut. Check out Leonardracing.com. I bet it will have it listed in the install instructions for that driveshaft. I'll check too.
