turbo for 2008 v6/camshaft


does the 2008 mustang v6 have a turbo for it? and does the mustang make a camshaft for it also? need help

Do you mean if somebody makes a turbo kit for the v6 stang? Yes they do. powerhouse411.com You can get your cams ground locally.

I don't really know? Like i said i don't know hardly anything about cams. What exactly are they?

I am a computer person. I don't know cars to well....I'm trying to learn though.

Cams are what open and close your valves letting gas in and exhaust out. A set of after market cams with new custome heads makes the process more efficient and therefore increasing overall horsepower.

don't worry about cams. If you want power then just get the turbo and save until you can get forged pistons installed.

the reason you would want cams that are custom grinded (is that the right word or is it ground) is cause you want maxium over lap (when the exhaust and Intake valve are both open at the same time) when you're at max boost.

The profile of cam you'd get would depend on where in your "power band" you want the most power. They also dictate how high the valve will open.

Thats why you see these race cars that can barely stay on at idle cause their cams are set up to be the most efficient at a higher than idle RPM.

Supersix does make cams but the best way to do it is to get dyno'd to see where your power comes in then get a custom cam profile and get a custom grind.

fully forged engine, upgraded fuel pump, upgraded fuel injectors and tune. you will need an upgraded rear also if you want to drive with the extra power and not break anything.

If I bought the powerhouse turbo kit would i have to take it to a place that could tune it on a dyno or is there a chip somewhere that i could just plug in a drive it. I am a guy that would rather not have to hassle with people.

It would need dyno tuned unless you want to settle for the generic tune it comes with.

i how much psi could i run on stock motor, 8.8 rear end, and one piece driveshaft with still being reliable and small chance of blowing up
